Who, what and why Wizarts?
Who is Wizarts?
My name is Bas and I am a creative graphic designer and web designer based in the Netherlands, province of North Holland and region of West Friesland. It is therefore obvious that a large part of my clients are located in the head of North Holland, and then in particular in the vicinity of the municipality of Hoorn, Drechterland, Medemblik, Stede Broec and Enkhuizen.
What is Wizarts?
The name Wizarts originated during the internship period of my Media and Advertising Design course. The director of the company where I was allowed to do my internship was amazed at how I repeatedly transformed his wishes into the images he had in mind. He therefore called me a ‘creative wizard’.
When I started my own company, I thought back to this nickname. I started brainstorming and eventually came up with the name ‘Wizard’. But I didn’t think ‘Wizard’ was original enough, so I started to analyze the word. I discovered that ‘wiz’ stands for ‘someone who is very good at something’ and combined with ‘arts’ it says ‘someone who is very good at arts’. With a nod to my creative magic, Wizarts was born.
Why Wizarts?
Wizarts is more than 15 years of experience in graphic and web design. Most of the assignments consist of designing logos, advertising and developing websites. Beside that, I am mainly busy with designing printed matter, creating illustrations or animations and editing photos and videos.
As a graphic designer, I work with the Adobe software. For example, I use Photoshop for photo editing, Illustrator and InDesign for illustrations and printed matter, and After Effects for animations. As a web designer, I mainly use WordPress as a content management system for websites and for setting up a webshop, an e-commerce platform of your choice can be used.
